Artistic picnic
The city’s Artistic Picnics series continues at 12:30 p.m. at Beacon Hill Park on Saturday, Aug. 29, with a performance by Jesse Just Costa. The outdoor program is part of Beaconsfield’s summer cultural activities.
The library will also offer help with the new Amilia registration platform from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28. Residents can get assistance setting up an account and navigating the new registration system.

Skatefest 2026
Dorval Skatepark hosts Skatefest 2026 from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29. The event will feature demonstrations by professional skaters, a DJ, food, and a competition open to participants. Free on-site registration will be available for those who want to compete.
Several Dorval cultural exhibitions also continue through Sunday, Aug. 30. Langage éphémère is on display at the Peter B. Yeomans Cultural Centre, while Operation Feathered Friends continues on the grounds of the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre. Dorval en un clic! 2025 remains on display at the Peace Park Arboretum.
The city’s next regular council meeting takes place at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at the Quatre Vents residence.

Fête de la famille
À-Ma-Baie Park hosts Fête de la famille from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28. The free family event includes a barbecue, inflatable games, face painting, and other entertainment and activities.
Bazar Création
The artistic intervention truck from Bazar Création arrives at Parc de la Rive-Boisée at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30. Eight artists and a fire truck combine performance and visual art in an outdoor presentation that mixes the ordinary with the extraordinary.

West Island Blues Festival
The West Island Blues Festival returns to Pointe-Claire Village from 3 to 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 20 Avenue Cartier. The free, all-ages outdoor festival features Daylite Vampires, Whole Lotta Zeppelin, The Sugar Darlings, Old Soul, and Fired Up Band.
The festival gets underway with Daylite Vampires at 3 p.m., followed by Whole Lotta Zeppelin at 4:30 p.m., The Sugar Darlings at 6 p.m., Old Soul at 8 p.m. and Fired Up Band at 9:45 p.m.
• Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue
Salsa on the Promenade
Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s summer salsa evenings continue from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28. The evening includes an introductory salsa and merengue lesson with Baila Productions beginning at 7 p.m., followed by dancing from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The activity is open to beginners and experienced dancers, with no partner required.
Francophone Book Club
The library’s Francophone Book Club begins its fall series at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Participants meet to discuss a common book and share their impressions. The group continues monthly through December.
Line dancing
The city’s Thursday evening line-dancing series continues from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 3 at Place de l’Harmonie. The series offers lessons and open dancing and continues through Sept. 10.
• Dollard-des-Ormeaux
Dollard-des-Ormeaux has no major municipal event listed between Friday, Aug. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 3. The next regular council meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at city hall.
