BATON ROUGE, La. — U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy announced that help is available for Louisiana residents recovering from recent flooding and storm damage.

Cassidy said residents who need recovery planning or financial assistance should contact the American Red Cross to be connected with a case worker. The Red Cross assistance line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 800-733-2767.

For homeowners having difficulty reaching their insurance providers, Cassidy advised taking photos of any damage immediately and contacting the Louisiana Department of Insurance.
