Human remains found west of Norris identified as man reported missing 47 years ago, homicide investigation active

NORRIS, Mont. - Human remains found in the Revenue Flats area in August 2025 were just identified as a man reported missing nearly five decades ago, according to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The Madison County Medical Examiner's Office identified the remains as Clayton Quayle, reported missing 47 years ago, and also determined that his cause of death was homicide.
