Mizzou soccer earned its first win of the 2026 season 3-1 against Murray State on Sunday in Murray, Kentucky, following a tie with Western Kentucky in its opener.

The scoring started as soon as the clock began, as senior Brianna Buels found the back of the net in just 14 seconds. That was the fastest goal in program history.

The Tigers finished the game with 18 shots, including nine on goal. Junior Emily Derucki scored in the 50th minute, before Buels was set up by sophomore Allyssa Turner for her second goal of the day in the 67th minute.

“We had a great response today to find a way to get the win,” coach Stefanie Golan said in a news release. “We scored some really nice goals and showed a ton of grit when we needed it. A road trip home is always a little more enjoyable with three points. Now, it’s about taking care of ourselves, fine-tuning some details on both sides of the ball and getting ready for our next opportunity.”

Senior goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson earned the win in her first start of the year, finishing the win with two saves.

Mizzou will host Saint Louis in its home opener at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia.
