The NCAA West Regional First Round rolled on with Day 3 on Friday as three Mizzou track and field athletes raced in events on the day.
Dillon Leacock was the top Mizzou finisher, taking home 16th in the men’s 400-meter hurdles quarterfinals with a time of 50.37 seconds.
A pair of Tigers competed in the men’s 3,000m steeple chase quarterfinals. Elijah Limo placed 17th with a time of 8 minutes, 44.14 seconds. Joshua Allison ended the race in 35th at 9:00.28.
The three Mizzou athletes fell short of advancing to the next round as only the top three athletes from each heat plus the three next best times moved on.
The event concludes starting at 1 p..m. on Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with three Mizzou athletes set to compete.
