TEXARKANA, Ark. - The Texarkana Veterans Council presented the Third Annual Vet Fest at the Denver "Bull" Randleman VFW Post 4562 on Saturday.

The family come-and-go event celebrated those who have served and provided connections for them to area resources and support networks.

Last year, the VFW Post 4562 was renamed after Denver "Bull" Randleman in memory of the Staff Sergeant who was born and buried in Texarkana, Arkansas, and valiantly served in WWII as a paratrooper, said Senior Vice Commander Darrell Klink.

During the event, the post also held a highway renaming ceremony to Denver "Bull" Randleman, which was designated from Hwy. 82 at Mosely Road to 9th and Hickory Streets.

"These organizations here today is a veteran service organization, so they have ties to the VA in that sense where veterans can get the assistance when it comes to their VA claims, disability ratings and just finding the camaraderie again post-service," said Senior Vice Commander Klink.
