GENOA, Ark. - Miller County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man wanted for a shooting on Coca Cola Lake Road.

On Friday around 1:30 p.m., deputies responded to a shots fired call on Coca Cola Lake Road where they found Clay Walker suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He later died from his injuries. 

The suspect, identified as Joseph Richardson, fled the scene before deputies arrived. 

During the investigation, Deputy Hutchens reviewed his dash cam footage and realized he had passed the suspect's vehicle while heading to the scene. Hutchens was able to get the license plate number and issued a BOLO on the vehicle.

Richardson was apprehended by Texas Department of Public Safety and is being held in Bowie County pending extradition to Miller County.
