TEXARKANA, Ark. - The smell of chicken wings and the sound of rhythm and blues is wafting through the air right now at the Front Street Festival Plaza.
The blues music is highlighting local guitarist, Travis Matthews, whose career has included performing with B.B. King and with Ike and Tina Turner.
Other music will pay tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn and B.B. King.
Also being honored is DJ Godfather, Curtis Muldew, considered the Godfather of R&B, who has spun the blues for many artists considered legends in the genre.
Fred's Wings 'n' Things food truck had quite a line earlier today.
"We're a wing truck, wings is our specialty, we have honey gold, lemon pepper, barbecue, garlic parmesan, honey hot, lands view hot, any way you want it; so good, you don't need teeth to eat it," said Owner Freddie Barnett. "Check it out."
The festival is funded and organized by Winners Circle 4.
