(Villisca) -- An Elliott man is in custody following a traffic stop early Thursday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop just after midnight Thursday on Highway 71 near Villisca. Following an investigation, authorities arrested 43-year-old Quintin John Perdue on a Pottawattamie County warrant for parole violation. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance -- first offense.
He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail on no bond.
