Red River Parish, La. - Some dramatic video shows the extent of flooding happening right now in Red River Parish.

Coushatta Mayor Ashanti Cole posted this video to his Facebook page of water rushing over the bridge near the Line Street and Brittain Street merge in the town.

Water can be seen almost touching the bottom of the guardrails.

Mayor Cole says the flooding is impacting the sewer station and some resident may experience some back flow. He says their sewage system are filling up with water faster than they can pump the water out.

He also says many of the ditches in the town are filled with water making it hard to keep the water out of the road.

At one point in the video, a motorcyclist can be seen driving around the caution signs and barricades, and driving through the rushing water.

Mayor Cole also asks to contact his office if you see a road that needs to be closed off due to flooding or need sandbags.

KTBS 3 Chief Meteorologist Patrick Dennis says parts of Red River Parish were hit with 6-8 inches of rain overnight. The rain has cleared out of most areas and water levels should begin to drop in places like Red River Parish.
