MARSHALL, Texas - Police have arrested a 19-year-old Dallas man in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Whataburger in Marshall that left two people dead and two others wounded.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Saturday in the restaurant's parking lot on Victory Drive. When officers arrived, they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to jail records from the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, Davion McDale Brown, 19, was arrested on a charge of capital murder of multiple people. Marshall police confirmed the arrest warrant is connected to the Whataburger shooting.

Brown was taken into custody by the Longview Police Department and is being held at the North Jail in Longview.

Marshall police said the investigation remains ongoing. The department's public information officer said updated information is expected to be released around noon Monday.
