BOSSIER CITY, La. - The Bossier City Council approved an ordinance to transform the former city hall building into a multi-functional public community center.
Located at 630 Barksdale Blvd., the facility will operate under a re-enacted code focusing on three primary pillars: public meetings, social services and the promotion of the arts.
The expanded community complex is set to feature a first-floor gallery for cultural exhibits and a 360-square-foot classroom studio. A larger art room within the facility will also serve as a local voting precinct.
As part of the rebranding, the Eastbank Theater will have a permanent seat in the building’s second-floor auditorium, which can accommodate up to 275 people.
