BOSSIER CITY, La. — Community, state, and national leaders gathered in Bossier City this week for the 44th annual Governor's Conference on Juvenile Justice.
The event, hosted at Live! Casino & Hotel, kicked off Wednesday with a focus on crime prevention strategies and improving rehabilitation outcomes for at-risk youth across Louisiana.
"It fosters an exchange of ideas and practices that, you know, have proven to be successful, and that helps everybody in the state," said Jim Craft, executive director of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement.
The multi-day conference features expert speakers and networking sessions.
