BOSSIER CITY, La. — As Bossier City approaches its 75th anniversary, residents will have a chance to explore the community’s rich history through a special art exhibition at the East Bank Arts Building.

The exhibit will feature historic photographs, artwork, and artifacts that help tell the story of Bossier City’s growth since becoming an official city in 1951. Visitors can view pieces ranging from vintage images of local landmarks to works inspired by significant moments in the city’s history.

“We’ve come a long way,” said Rich Carroll, manager of the East Bank Arts Building and Plaza, noting that Bossier City has grown from a population of about 15,000 to more than 60,000 residents.

The free exhibition opens Aug. 7 and runs through Sept. 15 at the East Bank Arts Building. The gallery will be open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. for visitors to experience Bossier City’s past and celebrate its future.
