BOSSIER PARISH, La. — The Bossier Parish Transportation Department worked through summer break to prepare for the start of the school year.
Mechanics serviced the district's fleet of more than 285 buses, and staff mapped out more than 200 bus routes across the parish.
Workers also integrated 13 new air-conditioned buses into the fleet.
Despite completing preparations, the district is still actively looking for bus drivers and mechanics.
