BOSSIER CITY, La. — Military families in Bossier Parish received a head start on the upcoming academic year during the fifth annual Military Family Back-to-School Night held at the Bossier Civic Center.
The event welcomed new and returning military-connected students, providing an opportunity to meet school representatives and learn about transportation, registration, and specialized programs. Organizers note that more than 3,000 military-connected students attend district schools.
Holly George, supervisor of special programs and military liaison, highlighted the event's purpose: "Our military families can come in visit the schools, visit the administration, scheduled tours."
