DOYLINE, La. - State Fire Marshal investigators arrested a Doyline man following an investigation into multiple intentionally set fires in Webster Parish, including an incident that led to attempted murder charges.
Shane Reeve, 44, of Doyline, faces a long list of charges, including two counts of attempted second degree murder, aggravated arson, false imprisonment, two counts of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, unauthorized use of a movable, simple arson, fire raising on lands of another with malice, four counts of simple criminal damage to property, and two counts of criminal trespass.
The investigation began Aug. 18 when Webster Parish Fire District 3 requested assistance from the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal for a vehicle fire in the 300 block of Junior Edwards Road in Doyline.
During the investigation, deputies discovered additional intentionally set fires in the 100 block of Green Park Resort Road, prompting further investigation that linked the scenes to Reeve.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details.
