HALLSVILLE, Texas - A family-owned farm in East Texas is working to reconnect people with agriculture through hands-on education, wellness programs and community events.
Rise and Shine Hills in Hallsville offers school field trips, farm tours and activities designed to teach children and families about animals, gardening and where their food comes from.
The farm, which has been in the family for more than 100 years, is also giving local students opportunities to learn new skills while working directly with the land and animals.
