BOSSIER CITY, La. - An elderly man crashed his vehicle into a Bossier City credit union Saturday, according to the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said the vehicle was already parked in the credit union's parking lot when the crash occurred. The credit union was open at the time.
No injuries were reported.
BPSO spokesperson Sgt. Bertrand said deputies believe the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The driver was cited, but no criminal charges are expected.
Medics evaluated the man at the scene, but he was not transported to a hospital. Investigators do not believe he suffered a medical emergency.
Authorities also said there is no indication the crash was intentional.
When KTBS arrived at the scene, the front windows of the credit union had been boarded up. Contractors were outside cleaning up debris, and a Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office vehicle remained parked outside the building.
