BOSSIER CITY, La. — Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a late-morning blaze that destroyed two units Wednesday at the Village of the Downs Apartments.
Crews responding to the complex on Highway 80 near Swan Lake Road reported seeing heavy flames and smoke prior to their arrival.
Bossier City firefighters tackled the blaze using both ground crews and aerial equipment after neighbors dialed 911 to report the incident.
Emergency personnel evacuated two residents from one of the affected units, and no injuries were reported.
