SHREVEPORT, La. — Emergency crews are on the scene of a large fire at an abandoned home in Shreveport.
Firefighters responded around 11 a.m. Wednesday to the structure located at 5407 South Lakeshore Drive, near Briarcliff. Approximately 27 emergency units were dispatched to the scene to battle the flames.
The property is a somewhat well-known unfinished structure. Construction on the house was started by a man who died before he could complete it.
No additional information regarding injuries or the cause of the fire was immediately available.
