SHREVEPORT, La. — Severe weather continued to slam the ArkLaTex on Tuesday morning, triggering flash flooding and leaving behind a trail of minor damage and power outages.

National Weather Service officials reported emergency crews had to perform a water rescue in Homer, Louisiana, after a vehicle became stranded in a grocery store parking lot.

The heavy rainfall and high winds have also caused widespread issues on regional roadways. Weather spotters reported scattered trees and downed power lines blocking roads across multiple parishes and counties.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution during the morning commute, avoid driving through flooded roadways, and watch for hidden debris on the ground.
