SHREVEPORT, La. — Pop culture fans will gather in downtown Shreveport this weekend for the return of Geek'd Con.

The three-day convention takes place Friday through Sunday at the Shreveport Convention Center. The event brings together fans of comic books, movies, anime, gaming, and cosplay.

WWE Hall of Famer Kane headlines this year's lineup of special guests. The convention also features a 30th anniversary celebration for the Scream franchise, featuring actors who portrayed Ghostface. Legendary comic book artists and inkers will also be featured in artist alley.

Attendees can shop among hundreds of vendor booths, enter trading card tournaments, and play in a retro video game arcade. The annual cosplay competition takes place Sunday afternoon. LifeShare Blood Center will also host a blood drive during the convention.

Doors open Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily passes and weekend passes are available online and at the venue. Parking in the convention center garage is free.
