SHREVEPORT, La. — Holy Angels invites the community to the 45th annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The signature fundraising event takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center.
The event supports Holy Angels and its mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. TASTE brings together local cuisine, art, live music and community spirit. It welcomes more than 1,500 guests each year.
Tickets cost $100 per person. Admission includes food tastings from 40 area restaurants and food vendors. Guests can sample Holy Angels lasagna, Howdy Homemade gourmet ice cream, and complimentary drinks from Champagne Charlie's Bubble Bar.
Live entertainment features music by Windstorm. The Holy Angels Choir and resident talent show winners will also perform.
Attendees can participate in a silent auction with more than 200 items. Auction offerings include original artwork created by residents, pieces from local artists, gifts, fine jewelry and travel experiences. Guests can view auction items in person and meet the resident artists during the event.
Holy Angels serves 185 residents with round-the-clock care, job training, therapy and residential programs. The organization also operates Holy Angels Academy, which serves children ages 2 to 21.
