BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry unveiled the state's official 2026 "I Voted" sticker design Tuesday during a ceremony at the Old Governor's Mansion.
Created by New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne, the artwork marks the 10-year anniversary of the state's artist-designed voting sticker program. Osborne's design aims to visually represent the concept of what Louisiana would look like if its sounds were visible.
Landry noted that Osborne is the fifth Louisiana artist featured in the initiative since its launch in 2016, which originally debuted with late artist George Rodrigue's famous Blue Dog artwork. Previous featured artists include Tony Bernard, Becky Fos, and William Joyce.
Osborne attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and earned a fine arts degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. He taught art at Alice Harte Elementary School for five years before relocating his family to Georgia following Hurricane Katrina, where he transitioned to pursuing art full time with the support of his wife, Stephanie.
After returning to New Orleans two years later, Osborne produced a body of work focused on the city's post-Katrina experience. His pieces celebrating Louisiana culture have served as the official poster for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival across six different years, and he has collaborated with major corporate and community partners including Nike, Coca-Cola, Raising Cane's, and the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club.
