SHREVEPORT, La. — Medical students at LSU Health Shreveport can now graduate with dual degrees through a new partnership with LSU Shreveport.
The collaborative program allows future physicians to simultaneously pursue Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, or Master of Public Health degrees from LSUS.
School leaders say the curriculum aims to produce better-rounded doctors equipped for the business side of medicine. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, fewer than 10% of medical students nationwide currently pursue an additional graduate degree alongside their medical studies.
