SHREVEPORT, La. — A Shreveport man faces a felony charge after digital evidence linked him to an alleged sex crime involving a minor.
Shreveport police arrested Jacorey Bryant, 20, on Thursday. Authorities charged him with indecent behavior with juveniles.
The investigation stems from a late-night incident on July 29. An officer leaving an emergency call noticed a Ford Mustang backed into a parking area at Southern Hills Park shortly before midnight, well after the park had closed.
Upon checking the vehicle, officers found Bryant inside the back seat alongside a 16-year-old male juvenile.
Police seized a cell phone at the scene. Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Sex Crimes Unit reviewed the phone's contents, gathering evidence that ultimately led to the charge.
Bryant previously received a summons for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile in connection with the same case.
Because the case involves a minor, officials are withholding the juvenile's identity and specific details regarding the phone evidence. The investigation remains active.
