MARSHALL, Texas - Some residents in Marshall will experience a planned water outage Monday evening as crews work to connect a newly repaired water line.

Water service will be temporarily interrupted beginning at 4 p.m. in the area around U.S. Highway 59 South and State Highway 154. The outage is expected to affect the Scenic Loop area between Pinecrest Drive and Bell Street.

Contractors will be tying in a newly repaired 16-inch water line that runs under the highway. The outage is required to complete the connections and put the line into service.

Water service should be restored around 10 p.m. Monday night.

A boil advisory has been issued for the area.
