SHREVEPORT, La. -- A Shreveport man arrested last month in a child pornography investigation is now facing additional charges, according to the Shreveport Police Department.

Gentry Moore, 42, of Bossier City, was originally arrested June 9 after investigators alleged he possessed images depicting juveniles engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Moore was initially charged with two counts of pornography involving juveniles and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

Police said Friday that the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit has filed seven additional charges against Moore as the investigation continued.

The new charges include additional counts of pornography involving juveniles and possession of deepfake pornography involving a juvenile, police said.

Investigators said the case began with information developed through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which focuses on identifying and investigating the online exploitation of children.

The investigation remains active, according to police.

The Shreveport Police Department said it continues to work with state and federal agencies on investigations involving child sexual abuse material and the exploitation of children.
