SHREVEPORT, La. - The victim of a domestic violence shooting on Kingston Road in Shreveport has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.
Shelby Leigh May, 34, was shot in the head just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday and died of her injuries Saturday afternoon.
Shreveport police officers identified the shooter as Brian Watson. Watson fled the scene and later shot and killed himself during a standoff in Bossier City.
May's death marks the 21st homicide to date in Caddo Parish in 2026.
