NEW BOSTON, Texas — Superior Energy Services is purchasing roughly 44 acres adjacent to its existing Quail Tools facility to expand tubular rental operations.
The additional land at the industrial park in New Boston, Texas, will accommodate manufacturing, repair, equipment storage, rental tubulars, and operational support.
Superior Energy Services plans a capital investment in the facility and its infrastructure, with groundbreaking planned for later this year. Hiring will begin as development progresses.
"Quail Tools has established an important operation at TexAmericas Center, and this project gives the company a direct path to expand on that foundation," said Scott Norton, chief executive officer and executive director of TexAmericas Center.
Quail Tools supplies technical support and premium tubular rental solutions for onshore drilling operations, including drill pipe, heavyweight drill pipe, drill collars, tubing, and handling tools.
The facility also provides maintenance, quality assurance, cleaning, inspection, and recertification services.
TexAmericas Center encompasses approximately 12,000 acres in the Texas side of the Texarkana area, servicing Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
