TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texarkana City Council has approved new school zone speed limits near Parks Elementary School.
Drivers can expect a 20 mph speed limit along sections of West 20th, Main, Pine and West 16th streets. The speed limits will be active from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The traffic adjustment follows decisions by the Texarkana Independent School District to close two other elementary campuses. Students from Dunbar Early Education Center and Spring Lake Park Elementary have been relocated to Parks Elementary.
