ENNIS, Mont. — Flash flooding on Hwy 287 between Ennis and the Townsend area has caused crashes and dangerous travel conditions, with about 2 feet of standing water reported on portions of the highway. 

According to the Broadwater County Sheriff's Office, much of the water receded as of 11:30 p.m., but rain is continuing. 

Emergency crews are still working along the roadway, so give yourself extra time if travel through the area is unavoidable.
