PHILLIPS COUNTY, Mont. — A death investigation at the State Park boat ramp at Lake Nelson led to a temporary closure there for several hours on June 18.

A Facebook post from the Phillips County Sheriff's Office said dispatch got a 911 call at about 1410 hours about a person who may have been dead at the boat ramp. The undersheriff, deputies and the Phillips County Ambulance went to the scene.

Responders found that the man had died, according to the post. The sheriff's office also said the man was identified and was from the Billings area.

The office said it was holding back his name out of respect for his family. It also said the Phillips County Sheriff's Office and Coroner's Office were still investigating what happened.
