FLORENCE, Mont. - Firefighters contained a blaze that broke out around 4:43 p.m. on Wednesday at a forestry products facility at Long Avenue and Highway 93, according to Florence Fire & EMS.
"Upon arrival, initial crews found an active fire burning in sawdust piles that was extending into nearby vegetation while threatening multiple structures, machinery, and inventory," Florence Fire & EMS said. "Suppression efforts were started immediately alongside a request for mutual aid to help protect surrounding property and equipment."
19 units and 41 personnel from nearby departments responded to assist with firefighting efforts. Florence Fire & EMS thanked its mutual aid partners for their assistance.
