FORT PECK, Mont, State — Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement are asking for the public’s help in the search for a man wanted by the U.S. Marshal Office.
Channing Eder did not return to jail following a release from federal custody on May 22, 2026 but had returned to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement said in a release.
Investigators said Eder was first indicted in U.S. District Court on federal charges tied to incidents on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. They also said a $500 reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest and capture.
Eder is described as 6-foot-1, 236 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair that was long at the time of his arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice through Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 406-653-6240 or the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-926-8332.
Authorities warn people not to approach Eder or try to catch him themselves.
