KALISPELL, Mont. — A man was rescued from McDonald Creek in Glacier National Park after falling from an overlook on Thursday, August 13.

According to a Facebook post from Two Bear Air Rescue, the man went over waterfalls and was found face down in the water by a bystander. The post said that person got to him, turned him over, moved him into shallow water and began CPR.

After CPR, the man regained a pulse, according to the post. Two Bear Air Rescue said Glacier National Park rangers were with him in the creek when the rescue team arrived.

The crew lowered a rescue specialist to the scene, helped stabilize the man and lifted him into a helicopter. Two Bear Air Rescue said he was then flown to a waiting ALERT helicopter for more treatment and a ride to the hospital.

Two Bear Air Rescue said this was its second river rescue in the past few days where someone regained a pulse after CPR from a citizen.
