Butte-Silver Bow County prosecutors have charged a Butte man with two counts of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent and aggravated kidnapping.
Bryson Michael Lundquist, 22, of Butte was taken into custody on Monday and made an initial appearance before Justice Court Judge Ben Pezdark on Wednesday morning.
Lundquist's bond was set at $500,000.
The incidents allegedly occurred on or about July 28-29 in the 600 block of South Colorado Street, according to court documents.
Court documents state Lundquist held an unidentified adult woman against her will and allegedly raped her.
Prosecutors provided basics about the accusations in the court documents but typically wait to provide specific details on what allegedly occurred when cases are transferred to district court.
If found guilty of the aggravated rape charges, Lundquist, who requested a public defender, could receive a life sentence on each count, with fines up to $50,000. The maximum sentence for kidnapping is the death penalty or life imprisonment and fines up to $50,000.
Lundquist’s next scheduled appearance in court has been set for Sept. 3.
