The Montana Highway Patrol commissioned 17 new troopers at the 83rd Montana Highway Patrol Advanced Academy graduation ceremony on Friday.
Lieutenant Colonel Kyle Hayter, Attorney General Austin Knudsen and Bowen Greenwood, the Montana Supreme Court Clerk of Court, all gave remarks at the ceremony prior to the swearing-in and badge pinning.
“These 17 troopers have demonstrated incredible commitment, professionalism and perseverance throughout their training,” MHP Colonel Kurt Sager said. “They are well prepared to meet the challenges of serving and protecting Montana communities and keeping our roadways safe.”
The troopers spent 12 weeks at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and an additional 14 weeks at the MHP Advanced Academy in Boulder.
