TARKIO, Mont. - A fire is burning near the Idaho/Montana border near Tarkio.
Lolo National Forest officials report firefighters are on the North Fork Fish Creek Fire in the Ninemile Ranger District.
At this time the fire is estimated to be half an acre in size and is burning in heavy timber.
Helicopters are being used to drop water on the fire and additional crews have been ordered for direct suppression actions on the ground.
