KALISPELL, Mont. – A grass fire that ignited on Savannah Road, across from the Stillwater apartment complex, prompted a quick response from fire crews on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was first reported around 2:45 p.m., with crews arriving to find a roughly half-acre fire burning in vegetation.
Fire personnel at the scene told NonStop Local that the blaze grew to just over three acres in size before crews managed to knock it down before 4 p.m.
No injuries were reported and officials stated that no surrounding structures were damaged during the incident.
Mop-up efforts remain underway at this time, however, crews are reportedly preparing to leave the scene.
