NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele has announced an investigation into a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred early Sunday in Upper Pottsgrove Township.
According to the District Attorney's office, Upper Pottsgrove Township Police responded to a 911 call at 12:29 a.m. for a possible attempted break-in at a residence on Snyder Road. The police arrived to find a male in the rear of the residence. An encounter ensued and police fired at the male subject, fatally striking the subject.
Per protocol for officer-involved shootings in the county, the Montgomery County Detective Bureau responded to the scene and are investigating the shooting.
