A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Highway 707 near Dick Pond Road.
A 2007 Toyota sedan, traveling south on Highway 707 hit a pedestrian who was in the road. The incident happened at 11:33 p.m., Wednesday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Pye also asked that anyone who may know the victim to contact the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
The incident remains under investigation by the SCHP.
