ATLANTA, Texas — Drivers in Texarkana will need to seek an alternate route Friday, July 24, as crews work to repair a railroad crossing.
Texas Northeastern Railroad will close a segment of Farm to Market Road 2148 at its intersection with U.S. Highway 82 to complete maintenance work. Work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Portable electronic message board signs are in place to warn motorists ahead of the scheduled closure. Transportation officials noted that inclement weather or unforeseen issues could alter the construction schedule and road closure details.
