Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. AAOI used its second-quarter 2026 earnings call to frame production capacity, rather than end demand, as the main limiter on near-term growth. CEO Thompson Lin said that forecast demand for 800G and 1.6T modules should exceed production capacity through mid-2027.

The call paired a sharp 800G ramp and expanding Texas manufacturing with third-quarter revenue guidance in the range of $255 million-$290 million. It also highlighted component constraints and a near-term 100G setback.
