ADMA BiologicsADMA is a U.S.-based commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing, manufacturing and marketing specialty biologics for immunodeficient patients and individuals at risk of certain infectious diseases.
The company currently markets three FDA-approved plasma-derived biologics: Asceniv (immune globulin intravenous – slra 10% liquid) for the treatment of primary humoral immunodeficiency (PI); Bivigam (immune globulin intravenous) for the treatment of PI; and NABI-HB (hepatitis B immune globulin) to provide enhanced immunity against the hepatitis B virus.
Asceniv was approved by the FDA in April 2019 for PI, also known as primary immune deficiency disease, in adults and children (2 to 17 years of age). Its revenues increased 25.5% year over year to $200.4 million in the first half of 2026. The product accounted for most of ADMA’s revenues in the first half and remained the company’s principal growth driver amid competitive pressure across the broader U.S. immune globulin market.
Asceniv continues to benefit from rising physician adoption, broader prescriber engagement, new patient starts and increased utilization. Growth accelerated during the second quarter, with June marking the strongest sequential monthly increase in Asceniv utilization since the first half of 2024.
During the first half of 2026, ADMA strengthened Asceniv’s real-world evidence base with data from 127 treated patients, most of whom had previously used other immunoglobulin therapies. The analysis showed statistically significant reductions in infection-related hospitalizations, outpatient healthcare utilization, oral antibiotic use and corticosteroid use following treatment with Asceniv.
The findings have been submitted for presentation at the November 2026 ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting. The data highlights Asceniv’s potential differentiation in later-line, refractory and medically complex primary immunodeficiency patients.
Management believes the growing evidence base will support broader patient access and payer coverage, while Asceniv’s relatively early market penetration provides further room for growth and supports its confidence in achieving or exceeding 2026 guidance.
ADMA expects revenues in the range of $530 million to $560 million in 2026.
Despite Asceniv’s strong performance, ADMA marginally missed on revenues in the second quarter due to continued decline in Bivigam sales owing to competitive dynamics and pricing pressure within the U.S. immune globulin market.
Competition in the Plasma Therapy Market
ADMA Biologics competes with GrifolsGRFS and TakedaTAK for plasma-derived products.
GRFS is a leading producer of plasma derivatives globally, ranking among the three largest producers in the industry in terms of total sales, alongside Takeda and CSL Group. Grifols’ primary plasma products include immunoglobulin (IG), Factor VIII, Alpha 1 (A1PI), and albumin. The company also manufactures intramuscular (hyperimmune) immunoglobulins (IGs), ATIII, Factor IX, and plasma thromboplastin component.
Grifols has a strong presence across key segments of the plasma derivatives industry, including A1PI, IG, and albumin, supported by its leading position in plasma collection centers and robust fractionation capacity.
Takeda’s broad immunoglobulin portfolio includes Hyqvia, Cuvitru, Gammagard Liquid and Gammagard Liquid ECR. The company is developing next-generation IG products with 20% facilitated SCIG (TAK-881). It is also pursuing other early-stage opportunities (e.g., hypersialylated Immunoglobulin [hsIgG]) that would diversify its portfolio further.
