A Pointe-Claire teenager who turned her experience with juvenile arthritis into a peer-support initiative has been named one of 10 winners of an international youth leadership award.

Chloe Guan, 17, was announced Wednesday, Aug. 12 as a recipient of the 2026 Leaders of Today Award, which recognizes young people aged 16 to 27 who have already started grassroots initiatives, projects, or self-driven work. The announcement coincided with United Nations International Youth Day.
