Nine of 17 candidates for Alaska governor weighed in on plans for communicating with the media and the public. They touched on a variety of topics,  including town halls, news conferences, public records, use of artificial intelligence and the role of their communications teams. 

The candidates are vying for the top four spots to advance to the ranked choice general election in November. The primary election is on Tuesday, August 18.
