Our public lands are not just wasted acres, they are economic and ecological powerhouses. While some argue that these lands would be better utilized by private owners, and look to sell off public lands for the potential payoff and tax revenue, they miss seeing the boon these lands are to Nevada as public resources.

Rural lands in the American West are famous for their recreational opportunities. And public lands are the mainstay of western outdoor recreation. Nevada’s public lands are a significant asset to the state.
