In forming opinions about public policy, I always try to look at alternatives, both for and against a proposed course of action. There is one conservative advocate that I read most frequently and that is George Will.

Will is the noted Libertarian and conservative author and commentator who has won a Pulitzer Prize, is syndicated nationwide and normally writes twice weekly. I like his epistles because they are well reasoned, avoid cliches, slogans and repetitive argument based on platitudes. He also uses historical analogies, which I too enjoy. Will has even written about professional baseball, so he can’t be all bad.
